The Inuit People's History
The Inuit people have lived in the Arctic Regions of North America since 1000 CE (The Common Era) which is about 1000 years from now. They have first came into contact with the outside world in the mid 16th century when Europeans were creating fishing colonies around their lands. The first well documented contact with the Inuits were by Martin Frobisher in 1576.
The language of the Inuit's are Inuvialuktun, Inuinnaqtun, Inuktitut and Greenlandic languages. What characterizers the Inuit people form other indigenous Artic peoples are their famous igloos and the use of sled dogs when hunting and traveling.
